It's time to drain the swamp! Teddy Roosevelt! Now, that was a president! When, during the building of the Panama Canal, it was discovered that the swamps of Central America were the breeding ground for the disease carrying vermin that were killing Americans, the solution was simple… the order went out to drain the swamps. It naturally follows, that if, as the politicians claim, the Middle East is a breeding ground for the Islamic terrorism that is now killing Americans in far greater numbers, the solution is equally simple… IT'S TIME TO DRAIN THE SWAMP! Sadly, however, our current President may talk like a big bad macho conservative, if you're into that Wild West sort of thing, but he acts more like some liberal fairy princess. If he were really worried about the welfare of the American people, he'd quit milking this September 11th thing for political advantage and get down to the business of ridding the world of Islamic terrorism. Until we get back to the way things were before September 11th, they are ahead on points. If we have to make the slightest change in our lifestyle as a result of a terrorist threat that we should have blasted from existence by now, THEY HAVE WON. The heck of it is, the idiots are even making it easy for us. They're begging for it. Hardly a day goes by when you don't see news coverage of a pro-Osama and/or anti-American demonstration in some country or other in the Middle East. Yo, George, you SAID that we were going to take out not only the terrorists, but also their SUPPORTERS. Fine, let me give you a little clue. CLUSTER BOMBS! They should work fantastically well on large demonstrations. The news media are marking the targets for you! Service them! The problem is, Bush just doesn't seem to have his priorities straight. He's putting things like Saudi oil money, re-election, and the fat-cats of the Military-Industrial Complex ahead of his duty to the American people. As far as I'm concerned, if, by the time Election Day rolls around, there is anyone left alive in the Middle East who hasn't demonstrated their love of our Country by learning to play God Bless America on the bagpipes, we ought to put this OPEC lovin' "dove" back in the closet and elect a "hawk" who can get the job done. |
